Tel Aviv University is the largest and most diverse research university in Israel.

It is ranked among the top 200 universities worldwide by Times Higher Education.

It holds the 1st position in Israel for research excellence according to the Taiwan Ranking.

It ranks 7th globally for producing entrepreneurs according to the Pitchbook ranking.

It is the 1st outside of the United States for producing unicorns (startups valued at one million dollars or more).

The School of Management is ranked among the top 100 worldwide in 2023 by CEOWORLD magazine.

Recent Initiatives

Due to recent events that have impacted Israel, Tel Aviv University has fast-tracked the opening of its Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) treatment center and established a national emergency trauma and resilience clinic. It has opened its campus to refugees from the north and south of the country, hosting over 600 students from the city of Kiryat Shmona.

Academic Engagement and International Partnerships

In the United States, Europe, and Asia, partnerships range from the CNRS (French National Centre for Scientific Research) to NASA and Harvard, from CERN to Sciences Po Paris and Sorbonne, even to the Paris Chamber Orchestra (Orchestre de Chambre de Paris).

International programs in cooperation with leading institutions such as Berkeley, the Kellogg School of Management, INSEAD, or Peking University in China.

The launch of a joint bachelor's degree program with Columbia University in New York.

The University and France

Tel Aviv University maintains around thirty active agreements with French universities, welcoming nearly 300 French students over the last five years and producing over 2,500 joint publications over the past decade.

THE FRENCH ASSOCIATION

Founded in 1970, AFAUTA (The French Association of Tel Aviv University) is a non-profit organization. Its primary mission is to support a prestigious Israeli university, Tel Aviv University, assisting in its long-term development plans. It also works to strengthen relations between the University and the entire French community.

Achievements

The association is proud of the achievements of its researchers and students. Since its inception, the French Association has successfully raised substantial funds for research, education, and physical infrastructure in a wide range of fields:

  • from humanities to medicine,

  • from exact sciences to literature and the arts.

French friends offer:

The association has successfully raised the profile of Tel Aviv University in France through exchange programs with leading French higher education institutions, such as:

  • the Collège de France,

  • Sciences Po,
