A BINATIONAL FOUNDATION
The creation of the France-Israel Foundation, recognized as being of public interest, was conceived and initiated by the President of the French Republic, Mr. Jacques Chirac, who shared the idea in July 2005 with the Israeli Prime Minister, Mr. Ariel Sharon. The foundation aims to serve as both a crucible and a catalyst for strengthening and deepening the ties between the Israeli and French peoples across all segments of their respective civil societies.
