Visit to Israel by Two Members of the Council of State

Date

TBD

Objective
To explore the Israeli judicial system.

What is the Council of State?

Through its missions, the Council of State is one of the pillars of the rule of law.

On one hand, it adjudicates disputes between citizens, companies, associations, and public administrations.

On the other hand, it advises the Government and Parliament on improvements to laws and regulations before they are voted on or come into force.

Highlights of the Visit

A series of institutional meetings is planned in Israel, mainly in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv, with senior figures from the Israeli judicial system: sitting and former judges of the Supreme Court, vice-presidents of the District Court, legal scholars, and academics.

The program also includes discussions with personalities from the diplomatic and academic spheres, as well as representatives of the France–Israel Foundation.

The stay will also feature visits and meetings in Tel Aviv–Jaffa, organized by the President of the France–Israel Foundation, along with opportunities for cultural discovery in Jerusalem and across the country.
