From Dream to Reality – Tsad Kadima, A Step Forward

Tsad Kadima (“A Step Forward”) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to the education and rehabilitation of children and adults with complex disabilities. Founded 38 years ago by parents and professionals, the organization continues to operate today in close partnership with families. It is one of Israel’s leading organizations in the care and support of infants, children, adolescents, and adults with complex disabilities.

Tsad Kadima is the only organization in Israel that implements and provides training in the Conductive Education approach—an educational method that empowers children and adults with complex disabilities to believe in themselves and in their ability to learn, grow, and become independent individuals, leading active, meaningful, and fulfilling lives within their communities while maintaining the freedom to make their own life choices.

“Show me how I can achieve the goal using my abilities.”

Dr. András Pető, founder of the Conductive Education approach, implemented and taught in Israel exclusively by Tsad Kadima.

Each year, the organization reaches hundreds of individuals with disabilities, from infancy through old age, as well as thousands of their family members. Tsad Kadima operates centers and programs in Rishon LeZion, Ness Ziona, Jerusalem, Be’er Sheva, Eilat, and Or Akiva, including daycare centers for toddlers with severe disabilities (some on the autism spectrum), kindergartens, a special education school, informal education programs, and day centers for young adults over the age of 21. The organization is governed by a volunteer board of directors. Its budget is funded through two primary sources: approximately 75% comes from government ministries—including the Ministries of Welfare, Education, and Health—through long-term partnerships and under their professional supervision. The remaining 25% is made possible through the generosity of philanthropists, companies, and foundations.

Support Tsad Kadima generously—together, we can take A Step Forward.
